Current Art Project: Collins Cooperative Mosaic

What do you get when hundreds of local artists work together for Ampersand Arts? The coolest community art project you've ever heard of, that's what! The brainchild of our board members, Heath and Drew, the "Cooperative Mosaic Project" is currently in it's first run. Our subject: local theatre and arts patrons, Fletcher and Margaret Collins.

The idea is simple - get close to 600 artists to each complete a 2" x 2" canvas. We'll collect the canvases and arrange them to create the image of Fletcher and Margaret! Simple, huh? :)

Once the final image is together, Ampersand Arts will hold an art opening to unveil the final work of art. This event will be timed to correspond with Margaret's 100th birthday, this coming June.
